My Review

I approached this series with caution. While I’m a HUGE fan of the twisted fairytale genre, I’ve read my fair share of poor takes on the Cinderella story in particular. So I didn’t really have high hopes when I picked up Cinder. But I was pleasantly surprised.

From the first chapter I was completely hooked on this series. the characters are believable and engaging. I loved the dystopian twist to this tale. And while it does loosely follow the Cinderella fairytale plotline, there is nothing predictable about this book. I could not put it down. In fact I was so hooked, I immediately embarked on all the other books in the series (and loved them all). Now I’m impatiently waiting for the release of Winter (due out this November!).

I strongly recommend not just Cinder but the entire Lunar Chronicles series. You won’t be sorry!
