You'll find yourself transported into the story before you know it, living side-by-side with its protagonists, and impatiently awaiting for the next installment of The Marked Ones!
A great start to this fantasy series! Sure to engage tween and teenage girls, the narrative offers a solid feminist message (unlike certain other popular series). With some subtle romance and more complex themes that start to emerge at the end of book one, the second book promises to be even better.
